Al Baqarah 183 185

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى.

Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of allah˺.

Diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang sebelum kamu.

(184) ˹fast a˺ prescrib.

(so whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of ramadan, i. e. , is present at his home), he must observe sawm (fasting) that month).
