Do i really need it?

Is it considerably beneficial to equip the chenga tome from the beginning (like will i end up in 58 at least?) or should i just take advantage of the bonus contribution exp from the elion book.

I just completed the chenga tome quest line to get to level 61 but i'm struggling to find the right quests.
