Viral damage is one of the six secondary elemental damage types, composed of cold and toxin elements.

Viral+slash combo works very well because viral reduces enemy's health by 50%, and slash bypasses armor/shields to damage health directly.

The amount of viral does increase the chances to proc viral, but a 2x60/60 gives more viral procs.

The amount of viral modded on the weapon has no effect whatsoever on those values.
